Notes
'Nootka Rose' garlic (Allium sativum 'Nootka Rose') is a bulb grown for pink-peeled heads that store for 9 to 12 months. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. Each bulb holds 14 to 20 cloves, and the upright plant grows 18 to 24 inches tall.
Pairs well with Red Riding Hood tulip, Shrub rose, and Dr. Alexander Fleming peony.
