Notes

'Nordic Paradox' peony (Paeonia 'Nordic Paradox') is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, cut flowers, and specimen plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average moisture. Its fragrant pink purple flowers sit just above the foliage and attract bees and butterflies. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. Stems are strong enough to hold the flowers.

Pairs well with Halcyon hosta, Eastern columbine, Little Beauty tulip, and Blonde Ambition blue grama.
