Notes
'Northern Glow' maple (Acer freemanii 'Northern Glow') is a tree for borders and foundation plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun. It is a natural hybrid of Acer rubrum and Acer saccharinum. Red and yellow flowers open in mid to late spring. It can grow tall, so give it plenty of room.
Pairs well with Kentucky coffee tree, Panicle hydrangea, and Nepeta.
