Notes
'Nubia' clematis (Clematis 'Nubia') is a vine for containers, cottage gardens, and privacy screens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil. It is compact and free-flowering from June to September, with dark red blooms striped in red to pinkish red. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. Mogens Nyegaard Olesen bred it.
Pairs well with Climbing rose, Japanese forest grass, and Ornamental onion.
