Notes
'Octavia' peony (Paeonia 'Octavia') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fragrant, semi-double rosy pink flowers have frilled petals, and bees and butterflies visit them. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. Joshua Scholten bred it.
Pairs well with Black-eyed Susan, Abiqua Drinking Gourd hosta, and Stargazer lily.
