Notes

'Octavie Demay' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Octavie Demay') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Large double blooms open light pink to rose-pink and age to white, with a ring of narrow, almost white petals around the crown. The short, upright plants have stiff stems and abundant foliage. Jacques Calot bred it.

Pairs well with Pale purple coneflower, Spanish bluebell, and Royal fern.
