Notes

'Ohio’s Pride' peony (Paeonia 'Ohio’s Pride') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The pink flowers have a Japanese type form and a sweet fragrance, and they attract butterflies and bees. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. William Henry Krekler bred it.

Pairs well with Fire Island hosta, Eastern columbine, Little bluestem, and Stargazer lily.
