Notes

'Oklahoma Scarlet' zinnia (Zinnia elegans 'Oklahoma Scarlet') is an annual for borders, cut flowers, and pollinator gardens. It is not cold-hardy and will not survive freezing temperatures. This plant likes full sun and dry to average, loamy soil. Its scarlet flowers last a long time in a vase and rarely get powdery mildew, and butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees visit the blooms. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. Flowers appear from summer into autumn.

Pairs well with Procut Red sunflower, Cosmic Orange cosmos, and Red fescue.
