Notes

'Old Gold' rose (Rosa 'Old Gold') is a shrub for borders, cottage gardens, cut flowers, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun and loamy or clay soil. The fragrant orange-red blooms appear in late spring, again from early to late summer, and into early autumn. Bees visit the flowers. Samuel McGredy II bred it in 1913.

Pairs well with Bartzella peony, Rock rose, and Fragrant Bouquet hosta.
