Notes

'Old Southgate' peony (Paeonia 'Old Southgate') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fragrant, semi-double flowers open light pink with apricot shading, and bees and butterflies visit them. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. Prof. Harald Fawkner bred it.

Pairs well with Golden Tiara hosta, Queen of Night tulip, Blonde Ambition blue grama, and Quick Fire panicle hydrangea.
