Notes

'Olé Irene' peony (Paeonia 'Olé Irene') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Each stem carries one fragrant, double white bloom with wine streaks, and the buds take several weeks to open. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. Anne Oveson bred it, and the upright stems stand without support.

Pairs well with Golden Tiara hosta, Quick Fire panicle hydrangea, Carnaval De Nice tulip, and Christmas fern.
