Notes
Onion (Allium altaicum) is a bulb for naturalized plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun and average moisture. It grows 12 to 24 inches tall and 12 to 18 inches wide. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. Yellowish-white flowers open from early to late summer.
Pairs well with Mountain mint, Blue grama, and Knotweed.
