Onlooker peony

Garden uses

Notes

'Onlooker' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Onlooker') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The double flowers are violet-rose, so they add rich color to bouquets and garden beds. Kelway bred it. You can cut the blooms for indoor arrangements.

Pairs well with Hosta, Queen of Night tulip, Cinnamon fern, and Standing Ovation little bluestem.
