Notes

'Ornatum' Japanese maple (Acer palmatum 'Ornatum') is a tree for specimen, accent, and container planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. It grows slowly into a broad form, and bees and birds visit it. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. Give it room to spread so it can show its shape.

Pairs well with Wood forget-me-not, Ballerina tulip, and Lamb’s ear.
