Notes

'Out of Control' peony (Paeonia 'Out of Control') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fragrant, single lilac-pink blooms have cream stripes, and the early leaves emerge burgundy before turning green. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. Roger F. Anderson bred it.

Pairs well with Eastern columbine, Standing Ovation little bluestem, and Curly Fries hosta.
