Notes

'Packham's Triumph' pear (Pyrus communis 'Packham's Triumph') is a tree for food gardens and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to average, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. White flowers open from early to late spring and attract butterflies, bees, and birds. The fruit is grown for fresh eating, and you need a second pear nearby because this tree is not self-fertile. Sam Packham bred it in the 1890s.

Pairs well with Plum, Empire apple, Woolly yarrow, and Creeping thyme.
