Notes

'Painted Lady' peony (Paeonia 'Painted Lady') is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, specimen planting, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. It blooms in early to late spring and attracts butterflies. Derek Irvine bred it in 2001. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first.

Pairs well with Cardinal flower, The President clematis, and Buffalo grass.
