Notes

'Painted Lady' reticulated iris (Iris reticulata 'Painted Lady') is a bulb for borders, containers, and rock gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average moisture. The fragrant flowers open in early to late spring and are large for such a small plant. The plant goes dormant by summer, so grow it up through perennial ground covers. Deer tend to browse other plants first.

Pairs well with Japanese forest grass, Autumn fern, and Little brown jug.
