Notes
'Panama' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Panama') is a shrub for borders, perennial beds, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The upright plant bears salmon-rose blooms with golden anthers. R. L. Oberlin bred it, and the flowers make fine cut stems for a vase.
Pairs well with Golden Tiara hosta, Lenten rose, and Blue grama.
