Notes

'Paraplu Red' rose of sharon (Hibiscus syriacus 'Paraplu Red') is a shrub for pollinator gardens and hedges. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to wet soil. Butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds visit the summer blooms. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal. It grows at a rapid rate and tolerates drought and salt.

Pairs well with Big bluestem, Blueberry, and Virginia spiderwort.
