Notes
'Pastel Gem' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Pastel Gem') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The full rose flowers are a light cream pink and nicely sculptured. The stems are about 35 inches tall and carry clean foliage. Myron D. Bigger bred it in 1979.
Pairs well with Pink Impression tulip, Western sword fern, and Limeglow creeping juniper.
