Notes

'Pastel' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Pastel') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The double, rose-form flowers are a light salmon-pink that fades little in sun. Strong stems hold the medium-sized blooms upright. Col. Jesse C. Nicholls bred it as a seedling of 'Walter Faxon'.

Pairs well with Queen of Night tulip, Blue sage, and Garlic chives.
