Notes

'Paua Red' peony (Paeonia 'Paua Red') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. It bears rose-red blooms in early to late spring, and butterflies visit them. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. Derek Irvine introduced it in 2001.

Pairs well with Cardinal flower, Clematis, and Pink Lemonade blueberry.
