Notes

'Pedro' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Pedro') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Its deep, bright red single flowers are medium in size and bloom from mid to late spring into early summer. Tall, straight stems hold the blooms erect on a compact plant with dark green foliage. Gilbert S. Richmond bred it.

Pairs well with Cheerfulness daffodil, Blonde Ambition blue grama, and Sedge.
