Notes

'Pehrson’s Violet Frisbee' peony (Paeonia 'Pehrson’s Violet Frisbee') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Big, fragrant, single violet flowers open on stiff stems and attract butterflies and bees. Roy Pehrson bred it, and Hollingsworth Nursery introduced it in 1996. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal.

Pairs well with Stained Glass hosta, Sedge, and Dense blazing star.
