Notes

'People' rose (Rosa 'People') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun and loamy or clay soil. Dark red, fragrant blooms open in late spring, early to late summer, and early autumn. Bees visit the flowers. Mathias Tantau, Jr bred it in 1957.

Pairs well with Japanese spirea, Fountain grass, and Pink.
