Notes

'Peppermint' mint (Mentha piperita 'Peppermint') is an herb for pollinator gardens, containers, and food gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. The fragrant plant blooms from early to late summer and attracts butterflies and bees. It spreads widely, so a container keeps it in check.

Pairs well with Genovese basil, Jacob Cline spotted beebalm, and Everbearing strawberry.
