Notes

'Persephone' peony (Paeonia 'Persephone') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. Its velvety, pale yellow petals curve back slightly at the rim, and butterflies visit the blooms. Nassos Daphnis bred it. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by.

Pairs well with September Charm anemone, Korean spice viburnum, and Big bluestem.
