Notes
'Peve Minaret' pond cypress (Taxodium distichum 'Peve Minaret') is a tree for specimen planting and rain gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It has a broad habit and grows at a moderate rate. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. This tree is drought tolerant and salt tolerant, and birds visit it.
Pairs well with Sweet pepperbush, Cardinal flower, Cinnamon fern, and Indian grass.
