Notes

'Piglet' fountain grass (Cenchrus alopecuroides 'Piglet') is a grass for ground cover and rain gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet soil. It grows 9 to 18 inches tall and spreads 12 to 24 inches. Pinkish white blooms appear in late summer and early to mid autumn. The foliage turns a new color in fall, and the plant tolerates drought.

Pairs well with Karl Foerster feather reed grass, Virginia sweetspire, and Golden club.
