Notes

'Piibd-Iii' butterfly bush (Buddleja davidii 'Piibd-Iii') is a shrub for borders, cut flower gardens, pollinator gardens, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. Its arching stems carry fragrant purplish blue to blue blooms in early to late summer and again in early to late autumn. Butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees visit the flowers.

Pairs well with Gaura, Ornamental onion, Creeping thyme, and Knock Out rose.
