Notes

'Pillow Cases' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Pillow Cases') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Krekler bred it, and the fragrant, single flowers show soft pink, cream, and deep pink with speckled, fluted petals. Blooms open early, and the thick, wide green leaves have good stem strength.

Pairs well with Aromatic aster, Spanish bluebell, and Sensitive fern.
