Notes

'Pink Ice' spirea (Spiraea vanhouttei 'Pink Ice') is a shrub for borders, hedges, and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. It blooms in early to late spring and again in early to late summer, and butterflies visit the flowers. Deer tend to browse other plants first.

Pairs well with Hakuro-nishiki hybrid willow, Purple Sensation ornamental onion, and Sweet woodruff.
