Notes
'Piou-Piou' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Piou-Piou') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Its rose flowers add color to the border, and you can cut them to fill a vase indoors. Kelway bred it. Plant it where you can reach the stems easily for cutting.
Pairs well with Smooth aster, Grape hyacinth, Blue grama, and Charles Joly lilac.
