Notes

'Playmate' peony (Paeonia 'Playmate') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Small, fragrant, bright rose-colored flowers rise above the finely cut foliage like a bouquet. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. Bees and butterflies visit the blooms.

Pairs well with Magnus coneflower, Halcyon hosta, and Prairie dropseed.
