Notes

'Pleniflora' kerria (Kerria japonica 'Pleniflora') is a shrub for borders, specimen planting, and hedges. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun to full shade and dry to moist soil of most types. Bright yellow, pom-pom-like flowers cover the arching stems in spring. It blooms on last year's wood, so prune right after flowering and remove unwanted suckers. Deer rarely make it their first choice.

Pairs well with Patriot hosta, Cinnamon fern, and Black Parrot tulip.
