Notes
'Albescens' kerria (Kerria japonica 'Albescens') is a shrub for specimen planting, hedges, shade gardens, and naturalized areas. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and dry to average, loamy soil. Its arching stems reach 48 to 60 inches tall, and the early to late spring blooms draw butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds. Deer tend to browse other plants first. It tolerates drought.
Pairs well with Western sword fern, Allegheny serviceberry, and Wood lily.
