Notes

'Plenissima rosea superba' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Plenissima rosea superba') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Buyck bred it in 1840. The fragrant, full double blooms are light pink to salmon-pink and open in early to mid spring. The dark green leaves reach up close to the flowers.

Pairs well with Wild ginger, Prairie dropseed, and Black Hero tulip.
