Notes

'Plum Flash' peony (Paeonia 'Plum Flash') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Early foliage emerges burgundy and matures green, and the mounded plant needs no support. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. Bees and butterflies visit the pinkish-plum blooms.

Pairs well with Big Daddy hosta, Nodding onion, and Prairie dropseed.
