Notes

'Polar Bear' zinnia (Zinnia elegans 'Polar Bear') is an annual for borders, cut flowers, containers, and pollinator gardens. Frost will kill it, so set it out only after the last frost in spring. This plant likes full sun and dry to moist soil of most types. It grows fast to 24 to 36 inches tall and handles dry spells well. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. Butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees visit the blooms.

Pairs well with Snapdragon, Spider flower, and First Knight fountain grass.
