Notes

'Pomponia' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Pomponia') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fragrant blooms open rose-pink or deep pink with lighter edges. It stays short, so it suits the front of a border. Mathieu bred it.

Pairs well with Halcyon hosta, Little Lime panicle hydrangea, and Cinnamon fern.
