Notes

'Postilion' peony (Paeonia 'Postilion') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average moisture. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. The flowers are deep scarlet crimson, semi-double, and shaped like a flat cup. They are fragrant and attract butterflies and bees.

Pairs well with Earth Angel hosta, White Swan coneflower, and Standing Ovation little bluestem.
