Notes
'Potter's Wheel' black hellebore (Helleborus niger 'Potter's Wheel') is a perennial for shade gardens, winter interest, borders, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and dry to moist, loamy, clay, or chalky soil. It forms a slow growing, evergreen clump that blooms from winter into spring. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. Give each clump about 24 inches of room to spread.
Pairs well with Common snowdrop, Siberian bugloss, Caramel coral bells, and Thalia daffodil.
