Notes
'Prairie Belle' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Prairie Belle') is a perennial for borders, perennial beds, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The large double blooms open cream and fade to white in early mid-season. The stems are heavy enough to carry the big flowers. Myron D. Bigger bred it in 1945.
Pairs well with Woodland phlox, Balloon flower, and Blue grama.
