Notes

'President Wilson' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'President Wilson') is a perennial for borders, perennial beds, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The large double blooms are rose-pink, age to lighter, and carry a rich spicy fragrance in late spring. Thurlow bred it. The collar can be a little weak, so well-established plants give the best flowers.

Pairs well with Iris, Prairie dropseed, and Tiger lily.
