Notes

'Primevère' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Primevère') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fragrant flowers have creamy white cupped petals around a canary-yellow center that fades with age. The stems are weak, so give the plant support. Victor Lemoine bred it.

Pairs well with Spanish bluebell, Royal fern, and Picture tulip.
