Notes

'Princess' elephant grass (Cenchrus purpureus 'Princess') is a grass for annual beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full sun and average moisture. It grows 24 to 36 inches tall and 24 to 36 inches wide, so it makes a tidy clump. It blooms in mid autumn, so you get late color in the bed. Give it a spot where the arching leaves have room to spread.

Pairs well with Lemon Grass lemongrass, Labyrinth dahlia, and Gerbera daisy.
