Notes
Elephant grass (Cenchrus purpureus) is a tall grass for borders, screens, and dramatic accents. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full sun and average moisture. It grows 48 to 72 inches tall and spreads 36 to 60 inches, so give it plenty of room. Yellow-brown flower plumes appear in mid autumn.
Pairs well with Olive, Chaste tree, Totally Tangerine dahlia, and Poppy.
