Notes

'Prometheus' peony (Paeonia 'Prometheus') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. Its fragrant light purple or rosy white flowers open in early to late spring and can reach 8 to 10 inches across. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. Butterflies visit the blooms.

Pairs well with Lenten rose, Mock orange, and Big bluestem.
