Notes

'Purple Prince' tulip (Tulipa 'Purple Prince') is a bulb for borders, cut flowers, containers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun, average moisture, and sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. It blooms in early to late spring and grows 12 to 24 inches tall. The flowers last well in a vase, so you can cut a few for indoors.

Pairs well with Jack Frost Siberian bugloss, Yellow Cheerfulness daffodil, Grape hyacinth, and Woodstock common hyacinth.
